Kendrick Cherokees (Columbus, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Southwest Patriots (Macon, GA), 22-14 in a league challenge.

The Cherokees now own a 3-12 record. They take the field next when they host Jordan for a 2A Region 2 challenge on Thursday, October 6. Kendrick will battle a Red Jackets squad coming off a 37-18 non-league loss to Carver (Columbus, GA). The Red Jackets record now stands at 6-13.

With the loss, Southwest falls to 0-15 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Central (Macon, GA) to battle the Chargers in a 2A Region 2 challenge on Thursday, October 6. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 8-7. Central lost 35-27 in their recent league challenge against Spencer (Columbus, GA)
