Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the JV Opponent (, ) and the visiting Pensacola Area Homeschool Phoenix (Pensacola, FL), observed JV Opponent's volleyball team top Pensacola Area Homeschool by a count of 2-0.
The (85-217) will now prepare for their contest against Chequamegon (Park Falls, WI). The Screaming Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Chequamegon was knocked off by Phillips (Phillips, WI), 3-0, in a league contest.
Next, the Phoenix battle the Santa Rosa Christian (Milton, FL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, October 8. Pensacola Area Homeschool will attempt to move on its 12-10 season record.
Match Summary
In our return to SBCA, our JV girls had a slow start and played a flat game. We gave up several serving runs to the JV Knights, while only managing one or two ourselves. Mistakes getting to the ball and inconsistent play cost us. After defeating the JV Knights in our first outing this season, today's performance was a disappointment, although a couple of bright spots included 2 K's by Sophie Small, and one each by Laura, Courtney and Addison.
