The Pensacola Area Homeschool Phoenix (Pensacola, FL) volleyball knocked off the host JV Opponent (, ), 2-0 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Phoenix now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to JV Opponent for a bout on Tuesday, August 20.
With the loss, JV Opponent drops to 3-7 on the campaign. The travel to Valor South Austin (Austin, TX) to clash with the Falcons in a non-league bout on Friday, August 16. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 0-0.
Match Summary
In the ensuing JV match, our youngest and newest players had the opportunity to get their most playing time of the season in a match thus far, and they made the most of it! They came out to the court looking confident and showed by their performance that they were prepared! They executed many solid hits, multiple combination plays, and put up a very solid serving game. The team bench and the fans in the bleachers had plenty to cheer about in this match and did! Of particular note in this contest, 6th grader #3 Phoebe Jones' first two serves as a JV player were aces, and 7th grader #24 Allie Elledge made the first K of her young JV career!
