The Wingate Bears volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Zuni Thunderbirds to 0 in the Bears league triumph on Thursday.

The Bears now have a 1-9 record. They play next when they travel to Newcomb for a 3A District 1 outing on Tuesday, October 8. Wingate will play a Skyhawks team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Thoreau (Thoreau, NM). The Skyhawks record now stands at 3-9.

With the loss, Zuni drops to 4-9 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM) to play the Eagles in a 3A District 1 outing on Tuesday, October 8. The Eagles come into the outing with a record of 2-12. Navajo Prep lost 3-0 in their recent league outing against Thoreau (Thoreau, NM)
