East Thunderbirds Varsity Girls Softball built a 13-run lead in the second inning and then held off Thunder Basin Varsity Bolts's charge for a 15-14 victory on Friday. Thunder Basin managed 13 runs in the failed comeback. Ella Partlow, Danica Shawver, Macie Selfors, Partlow, Allie Rodgers, and Kalissa Terrell powered the rally with RBIs. Trista Stehwien collected four hits in four at-bats to help lead East to a victory. Stehwien doubled in the first, tripled in the first, doubled in the second, and homered in the fifth. Jaylyn Christensen led things off in the pitcher's circle for East. The ace lasted six innings, allowing ten hits and eight runs while striking out eight. East socked one home run on the day. Stehwien had a four-bagger in the fifth inning. East scattered 12 hits in the game. Stehwien and Christensen each had multiple hits for East.
