The Thunderbirds now possess a 20-6 record. They play next when they travel to Campbell County for a non-league battle on Saturday, May 20. East will meet a Camels squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Kelly Walsh (Casper, WY). The Camels record now stands at 20-8.
Game Summary
East Thunderbirds suffered a tough 9-7 defeat against Thunder Basin Bolts. The game turned in the eighth inning when Thunder Basin's Ella Partlow hit a three-run homer to take the lead. East Thunderbirds made a comeback attempt, scoring three runs but fell short. Aleah Brooks launched a three-run home run in the first inning to set the tone. Despite the efforts of Jaylyn Christensen on the mound and standout performances from Brooks, Taylor Morgan, and Christensen, East Thunderbirds couldn't overcome Thunder Basin's late surge. Although the loss was disappointing, East Thunderbirds displayed resilience and offensive firepower. Their solid defense, led by Emily Schlagel, kept the game competitive. Despite the defeat, East Thunderbirds fought until the end.
