East Thunderbirds Varsity Girls Softball watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 15-12 loss to Thunder Basin Varsity Bolts on Friday. Thunder Basin scored on a triple by Caitline Kaul, a single by Lauren O'Loughlin, a walk by Dylanee Terry, a single by Addie Rouse, an error, and an error in the first inning. Trista Stehwien collected four hits in defeat. Stehwien doubled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the third, and singled in the fourth. Thunder Basin got things started in the first inning when Kaul tripled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs. East tallied three runs in the fourth inning. Taylor Morgan had an RBI triple in the inning to lead the run scoring. Morgan toed the rubber for East. The righty allowed 11 hits and 15 runs over four innings, striking out one. East racked up 11 hits on the day. Stehwien, Aleah Brooks, and Taylor Hollibaugh all had multiple hits for East.
