Chester Yellowjackets (Chester, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Groveton Indians (Groveton, TX), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Chester improves its record to 10-7 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Hudson (Lufkin, TX) to face the Hornets in a non-league test on Saturday, August 30. The Hornets go into the test with a record of 12-10. Hudson won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Colmesneil (Colmesneil, TX)

The Indians now own a 7-10 record. They play next when they host Crockett for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 2. Groveton will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Mumford (Mumford, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-7.
