The Academy for Classical Education Gryphons (Macon, GA) softball routed the visiting Southwest Patriots (Macon, GA), 20-0 in Thursday's league bout.
The Gryphons (13-2) will now prepare for their bout against John Milledge Academy (Milledgeville, GA). The Trojans go into the non-league bout with a 10-4 record. In their last bout, John Milledge Academy toppled First Presbyterian Day (Macon, GA), 11-2, in a non-league bout.
The Patriots now possess a 0-6 record. They play next when they host Central for a 2A Region 2 bout on Tuesday, September 13. Southwest will confront a Chargers squad coming off a 29-11 non-league win over Westside (Macon, GA). The Chargers record now stands at 2-3.
