No. 5 Mater Dei bounces back with 55-13 win over Orange Lutheran.

The MaxPreps Game of the Week featured two of the top teams in Ohio and No. 24 St. Edward (Lakewood) improved to 9-1 with a 14-7 win at Archbishop Hoban (Akron). The Knights only points came on the Eagles opening drive when Eli Lee returned an interception for a touchdown. Nate Gregory tied it up early in the second quarter with a 1-yard touchdown run on fourth down.

With the game still tied 7-7, the back-to-back Division I state champs put together an 11-play, 90 yard drive that featured all runs. Deontae Armstrong, Devontae Armstrong and Ben Roebuck paved the way for sophomore running back Brandon White. After a key third down conversion from Kyan Mason, White punched it in from 12 yards out to put St. Edward ahead 14-7 with just under four minutes remaining. The Eagles head into the playoffs riding a five-game win streak. It was the first loss of the season for the Knights as they head into the Division II playoffs.
