In addition to being named MaxPreps state players of the year,
Jaylen Alexander of
Oxford (Ala.),
J.J. Andrews of
Little Rock Christian Academy (Little Rock, Ark.),
Jaxson Davis of
Warren Township (Gurnee, Ill.),
Braxton Keathley of
Martin County (Inez, Ky.),
Dionte Neal of
Reidsville (N.C.), and
Tyran Stokes of
Rainier Beach (Seattle, Wash.) have something else in common — they all scored over 2,000 points during their high school basketball careers.
Those six players join more than 190 other players that MaxPreps has identified as reaching the 2,000 point milestone.
At the top of the mountain stood Jason Crowe Jr of Inglewood (Calif.), who separated himself from the rest of the nation with a staggering 4,684 career points. Crowe poured in 1,353 points as a senior while averaging 43.6 points per game, cementing his place among the greatest scorers in prep basketball history. His career total ranks 14th all-time nationally in high school basketball history.
Following Crowe on the national scoring list was
Jacob Spurlock of
Boyd County (Ashland, Ky.), who finished with 3,580 career points. Right behind him was
Terrence Titus of
Walter Northway (Northway, Alaska) with 3,432 points, giving Alaska one of the nation’s most prolific scorers.
In all, 20 players concluded the 2026 season with more than 3,000 career points, underscoring how explosive offensive production has become around the country.
While many of the top scorers were seniors, the underclass talent was just as impressive. Jordan Borowicz of Roseau (Minn.) emerged as the nation’s highest-scoring junior with 3,230 career points entering his senior season. Only two other juniors had already crossed the 3,000-point mark: Keathley with 3,126 points and Corey Flinchum of Lee County (Beattyville, Ky.) with 3,108.
Career totals were determined using the MaxPreps leaderboards, state association record books, Minnesota High School Basketball Records and numerous local news reports. Several additional players were believed to have surpassed 2,000 career points, though exact totals could not be verified and were noted separately on the master list.
