The Hammond Tornadoes (Hammond, LA) basketball knocked off the visiting Slidell Tigers (Slidell, LA), 61-43 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Tornadoes (12-4) will now prepare for their test against Covington (Covington, LA). The Lions go into the non-league test with a 3-4 record.

The Tigers now own a 5-17 record. They play next when they travel to Landry for a non-league test on Saturday, January 7. Slidell will encounter a Buccaneers squad coming off a 70-64 non-league loss to St. Thomas Catholic (Houston, TX). The Buccaneers record now stands at 5-4.
