Maryland High School Basketball - Chopticon tops Huntingtown

January 5, 2024: Morganza, MD 20660

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD) and the visiting Huntingtown Hurricanes (Huntingtown, MD), saw Chopticon's basketball squad knock off Huntingtown by a tally of 69-50.

With the victory, Chopticon improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Patuxent (Lusby, MD) to play the Panthers in a Southern Maryland challenge on Wednesday, January 10. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 3-7. Patuxent lost 84-56 in their recent league challenge against Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD)

Next up, the Hurricanes play the South River Seahawks (Edgewater, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 8. Huntingtown will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Seahawks come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 60-53 league win over Meade (Fort Meade, MD).
