South Dakota High School Basketball - Ethan knocked off by Wessington Springs
January 5, 2024: Ethan, SD 57334 The Wessington Springs Spartans basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Ethan Rustlers to 38 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Friday.
The Spartans now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mt. Vernon/Plankinton for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9. Wessington Springs will battle a Titans team coming off a 67-34 non-league loss to Tri-Valley (Colton, SD). The Titans record now stands at 3-1.
The Rustlers (8-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bridgewater/Emery (Emery, SD). The Huskies enter the B Region 3 contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Bridgewater/Emery was defeated by Freeman (Freeman, SD), 54-48, in a non-league contest.
