January 6, 2023: Cheraw, SC 29520

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Cheraw Braves (Cheraw, SC) and the visiting Central Eagles (Pageland, SC), saw Cheraw's basketball squad hold off Central by a tally of 60-57.

With the victory, Cheraw improves its record to 7-11 on the campaign. The Braves host Chesterfield (Chesterfield, SC) to play the Golden Rams in a AA Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Golden Rams come into the challenge with a record of 6-7. Chesterfield won 54-40 in their recent league challenge against York Prep (Rock Hill, SC)

Next up, the Eagles play the Buford Yellowjackets (Lancaster, SC) in a AA Region 5 contest, on Tuesday, January 10. Central will attempt to better on its 8-2 season record.
