Oregon High School Basketball - Sprague holds off North Salem
January 9, 2024: Salem, OR 97302 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Sprague Olympians (Salem, OR) and the visiting North Salem Vikings (Salem, OR), saw Sprague's basketball squad hold off North Salem by a tally of 68-63.
With the victory, Sprague improves its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Olympians travel to South Salem (Salem, OR) to confront the Saxons in a 6A Central Valley challenge on Friday, January 12. The Saxons come into the challenge with a record of 4-9. South Salem lost 72-69 in their recent league challenge against West Salem (Salem, OR)
Next up, the Vikings confront the McNary Celtics (Keizer, OR) in a 6A Central Valley challenge, on Friday, January 12. North Salem will attempt to improve on its 2-14 season record. The Celtics come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 75-72 non-league loss to South Eugene (Eugene, OR).
