Minnesota High School Basketball - New Ulm overwhelms Fairmont
January 10, 2023: Fairmont, MN 56031 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the New Ulm Eagles (New Ulm, MN) and the host Fairmont Cardinals (Fairmont, MN), saw New Ulm's basketball squad wallop Fairmont by a tally of 82-61.
With the victory, New Ulm improves its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to New Prague (New Prague, MN) to confront the Trojans in a AAA Section 2 challenge on Thursday, January 12. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 2-8. New Prague won 57-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Kasson-Mantorville (Kasson, MN)
Next up, the Cardinals confront the Jackson County Central Huskies (Jackson, MN) in a AA Section 3 challenge, on Friday, January 13. Fairmont will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 88-85 non-league win over Waseca (Waseca, MN).
