The Weldon Chargers (Weldon, NC) basketball knocked off the host Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC), 75-65 in Tuesday's league test.

The Chargers (5-3) will now prepare for their test against KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC). The Pride go into the 1A Conference 9 test with a 6-3 record. In their last test, KIPP Pride notched a victory over North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC), 81-75, in a league test.

The Vikings now own a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to Warren County for a 1A Conference 9 test on Friday, January 13. Northwest Halifax will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 74-68 league win over Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 1-9.
