The Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Northampton County Jaguars (Gaston, NC), 51-49 in Friday's league test.

The Vikings (9-9) will now prepare for their test against Louisburg (Louisburg, NC). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 4-13 record.

The Jaguars now own a 8-3 record. They play next when they travel to KIPP Pride for a 1A Conference 9 test on Tuesday, January 24. Northampton County will encounter a Pride squad coming off a 83-75 league win over Southeast Halifax (Halifax, NC). The Pride record now stands at 8-5.
