Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Northampton County Jaguars (Gaston, NC) and the host Weldon Chargers (Weldon, NC), saw Northampton County's basketball squad overcome Weldon by a tally of 59-43.

With the victory, Northampton County improves its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC) to confront the Tigers in a 1A Conference 9 challenge on Thursday, February 9. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 17-6. Wilson Prep won 65-36 in their recent league challenge against Warren County (Warrenton, NC)

Next up, the Chargers confront the Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC) in a 1A Conference 9 challenge, on Friday, February 10. Weldon will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record.
