January 10, 2024: Concord, NC 28027

In Wednesday's league match, the visiting Carson Cougars basketball team scored a tight 62-60 triumph over the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans.

In their next game, the Cougars meet the South Rowan Raiders (China Grove, NC) in a 3A South Piedmont match, on Tuesday, January 16. Carson will attempt to better on its 7-5 season record. The Raiders enter the match with a 0-12 record after their 76-51 league loss to Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC).

With the defeat, Northwest Cabarrus moves to 8-6 on the year. The Trojans travel to West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC) to meet the Falcons in a 3A South Piedmont match on Tuesday, January 16.
