The Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC) basketball felled the visiting Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), 57-43 in Friday's league test.

The Bulldogs (11-4) will now prepare for their test against Covenant Day (Matthews, NC). The Lions go into the non-league test with a 10-10 record. In their last test, Covenant Day was beaten by Charlotte Latin (Charlotte, NC), 67-46, in a league test.

The Patriots now own a 10-8 record. They play next when they host Charlotte Catholic for a 4A Conference 59 test on Tuesday, January 24.
