Arizona High School Basketball - La Joya Community routs Fairfax

January 15, 2025: Avondale, AZ 85323

In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host La Joya Community Fighting Lobos basketball team scored a big 76-48 triumph over the Fairfax Stampede.

The Fighting Lobos (12-4) will now prepare for their contest against Independence (Glendale, AZ). The Patriots go into the 5A Central Valley contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Independence was trounced by Washington (Phoenix, AZ), 69-66, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Stampede confront the Youngker Roughriders (Buckeye, AZ) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 23. Fairfax will attempt to better on its 6-13 season record. The Roughriders go into the contest with a 3-10 record after their 76-70 league loss to Desert Edge (Goodyear, AZ).
