January 16, 2024: Mint Hill, NC 28217 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) and the host Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC), saw Independence's basketball squad overcome Rocky River by a tally of 64-55.
With the victory, Independence improves its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Patriots host Butler (Matthews, NC) to confront the Bulldogs in a 4A Southwestern challenge on Friday, January 19. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 10-6. Butler won 71-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Sun Valley (Monroe, NC)
Next up, the Ravens confront the Garinger Wildcats (Charlotte, NC) in a 4A Southwestern challenge, on Friday, January 19. Rocky River will attempt to improve on its 7-10 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 1-13 record after their 67-35 non-league loss to West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC).
