In Wednesday's league outing, the La Plata Warriors (La Plata, MD) basketball squad beat the visiting Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD), by a margin of 71-51.

The Warriors (7-3) will now prepare for their outing against North Point (Waldorf, MD). The Eagles go into the Southern Maryland outing with a 5-7 record. In their last outing, North Point defeated Northern (Owings, MD), 64-54, in a league outing.

The Braves now own a 10-3 record. They play next when they travel to Leonardtown for a Southern Maryland outing on Friday, January 20. Chopticon will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 57-55 league loss to McDonough (Pomfret, MD). The Raiders record now stands at 4-6.
