The Nitro Wildcats (Nitro, WV) basketball knocked off the visiting Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV), 62-50 in Thursday's league test.

The Wildcats (9-0) will now prepare for their test against George Washington (Charleston, WV). The Patriots go into the non-league test with a 6-3 record.

The Vikings now own a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Grafton for a non-league test on Saturday, January 20. Ripley will encounter a Bearcats squad coming off a 51-46 league loss to Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV). The Bearcats record now stands at 4-5.
