In Wednesday's league outing, the Nitro Wildcats (Nitro, WV) basketball squad nipped the host Scott Skyhawks (Madison, WV), by a margin of 76-75.

The Wildcats (10-1) will now prepare for their outing against Winfield (Winfield, WV). The Generals go into the Cardinal outing with a 3-8 record. In their last outing, Winfield was tipped by Elkins (Elkins, WV), 48-39, in a non-league outing.
