The Mathews Blue Devils basketball team scored 105 points and restricted the visiting West Point Pointers to 32 in the Blue Devils league victory on Tuesday.

The Blue Devils now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Middlesex for a Tidewater contest on Friday, January 27. Mathews will battle a Chargers team coming off a 74-52 league win over King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA). The Chargers record now stands at 15-2.

The Pointers (1-14) will now prepare for their contest against Carver College and Career Academy (Chester, VA). The Wolverines come into the Tidewater contest with a 14-2 record. In their last contest, Carver College and Career Academy triumphed over Charles City (Charles City, VA), 88-66, in a league contest.
