Rising Sun Shiners (Rising Sun, IN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Shawe Memorial Hilltoppers (Madison, IN), 64-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Rising Sun upgrades its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Shiners host Crothersville (Crothersville, IN) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 5-8. Crothersville lost 64-58 in their recent non-league bout against Trinity Lutheran (Seymour, IN)

Next up, the Hilltoppers play the West Washington Senators (Campbellsburg, IN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 28. Shawe Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Senators come into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 58-57 league win over Mitchell (Mitchell, IN).
