Mount Desert Island Trojans (Mount Desert, ME) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Presque Isle Wildcats (Presque Isle, ME), 44-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Mount Desert Island upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Trojans travel to Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME) to play the Ponies in a B North bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Ponies go into the bout with a record of 7-8. Foxcroft Academy lost 44-42 in their recent league bout against Hermon (Hermon, ME)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Bucksport Golden Bucks (Bucksport, ME) in a B North bout, on Thursday, February 1. Presque Isle will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record.
