Maryland High School Basketball - Chopticon held off by Northern

February 5, 2025: Owings, MD 20736

In Wednesday's league test, the Northern Patriots (Owings, MD) basketball squad got by the visiting Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD), by a score of 69-62.

Next, the Patriots encounter the Leonardtown Raiders (Leonardtown, MD) in a Southern Maryland test, on Friday, February 7. Northern will attempt to improve on its 13-4 season record. The Raiders come into the test with a 13-5 record after their 69-54 league loss to Lackey (Indian Head, MD).

The Braves (8-10) will now prepare for their test against Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD). The Cavaliers come into the Southern Maryland test with a 1-18 record. In their last test, Calvert was nipped by Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD), 65-37, in a league test.
