The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the KIPP Pride Pride (Gaston, NC) and the visiting Weldon Chargers (Weldon, NC), observed KIPP Pride's basketball team overwhelm Weldon by a score of 68-42.

The Pride (5-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC). The Jaguars come into the 1A Tar Roanoke challenge with a 7-11 record. In their last challenge, Rocky Mount Prep trounced Warren County (Warrenton, NC), 75-70, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Chargers battle the Wilson Prep Tigers (Wilson, NC) in a 1A Tar Roanoke challenge, on Friday, February 7. Weldon will attempt to improve on its 2-12 season record.
