The Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks basketball squad (Tucson, AZ), was nudged 70-67 in Friday's league battle with the host Mica Mountain Thunderbolts (Tucson, AZ)

With the victory, Mica Mountain advances its record to 14-10 on the year. The Thunderbolts travel to Sahuaro (Tucson, AZ) to meet the Cougars in a 4A Kino battle on Tuesday, February 11. The Cougars enter the battle with a record of 21-2. Sahuaro won 53-50 in their recent league battle against Salpointe Catholic (Tucson, AZ)

The Nighthawks (9-14) will now prepare for their test against Rincon/University (Tucson, AZ). The Rangers come into the non-league test with a 9-16 record. In their last test, Rincon/University held off Sunnyside (Tucson, AZ), 70-65, in a league test.
