North Carolina High School Basketball - Laney ripped by New Hanover

February 9, 2024: Wilmington, NC 28401

The New Hanover Wildcats basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Laney Buccaneers to 41 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 22-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Brunswick for a 3A/4A Mideastern contest on Tuesday, February 13. New Hanover will meet a Trojans team coming off a 76-49 league loss to North Brunswick (Leland, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 7-15.

The Buccaneers (18-3) will now prepare for their contest against North Brunswick (Leland, NC). The Scorpions enter the 3A/4A Mideastern contest with a 17-5 record. In their last contest, North Brunswick triumphed over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC), 76-49, in a league contest.
