In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks basketball team scored a decisive 68-19 triumph over the New Covenant Gryphons .

In their next game, the Mavericks meet the Carlisle Chiefs (Axton, VA) in a VISAA Division IV match, on Friday, February 17. Miller School of Albemarle will attempt to better on its 16-11 season record. The Chiefs enter the match with a 13-11 record after their 61-56 league win over New Covenant (Lynchburg, VA).
