Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Hiwassee Dam Eagles (Murphy, NC), 71-62 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Swain County upgrades its record to 13-13 on the season. The Maroon Devils travel to Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC) to play the Black Knights in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 23. The Black Knights go into the bout with a record of 22-5. Robbinsville won 46-45 in their recent non-league bout against Mountain Island Charter (Mt. Holly, NC)
