Spectators at Tuesday's league battle between the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) and the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), saw Watauga's baseball squad edge Alexander Central by a count of 1-0.

Coming up next, the Pioneers play the West Forsyth Titans (Clemmons, NC) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, April 17. Watauga will attempt to move on its 9-4 season record. The Titans enter the battle with a 14-4 record after their 21-0 league win over Mount Tabor (Winston-Salem, NC).
