Iowa High School Baseball - Gilbert sneaks past Ballard
June 26, 2024: Huxley, IA 50124 The crowd at Wednesday's league battle between the Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA) and the host Ballard Bombers (Huxley, IA), saw Gilbert's baseball team get by Ballard by a tally of 7-6.
The Tigers (7-16) will now prepare for their battle against Winterset (Winterset, IA). The Huskies enter the Raccoon River battle with a 11-13 record. In their last battle, Winterset held off A-D-M (Adel, IA), 13-5, in a league battle.
Next, the Bombers face the Carroll Tigers (Carroll, IA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, June 27. Ballard will attempt to upgrade on its 14-11 season record.
