Gretna Dragons (Gretna, NE) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Columbus Discoverers (Columbus, NE), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Dragons now sport a 10-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Norfolk for a A District challenge on Thursday, September 1.

With the loss, Columbus falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Discoverers host Lincoln High (Lincoln, NE) to face the Links in a A District challenge on Tuesday, August 30. The Links enter the challenge with a record of 2-4. Lincoln High lost 12-4 in their recent league challenge against Lincoln Northeast (Lincoln, NE)
