West Virginia High School Volleyball - Point Pleasant tips Nitro

September 11, 2025: Nitro, WV 25143

In Thursday's non-league test, the visiting Point Pleasant Big Blacks volleyball squad scored a tight 3-2 win over the Nitro Wildcats.

With the win, Point Pleasant improves its record to 9-6 on the season. The Big Blacks host Marietta (Marietta, OH) to face the Tigers in a Twin State test on Tuesday, September 16. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 4-2. Marietta won 3-2 in their recent league test against Warren (Vincent, OH)

The Wildcats now own a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Winfield for a Cardinal test on Tuesday, September 16. Nitro will face a Generals squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over St. Joseph Central (Huntington, WV). The Generals record now stands at 10-4.
