North Carolina High School Football - Porter Ridge tops Cuthbertson

September 19, 2025: Indian Trail, NC 28079

The Porter Ridge Pirates football squad scored 42 points and limited the visiting Cuthbertson Cavaliers to 17 in the Pirates league triumph on Friday.

The Pirates now hold a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Charlotte Catholic for a Southern Carolina 6A/7A challenge on Friday, September 26. Porter Ridge will play a Cougars team coming off a 42-7 league loss to Weddington (Matthews, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 3-2.

The Cavaliers (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Piedmont (Monroe, NC). The Panthers go into the Southern Carolina 6A/7A challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Piedmont lost by Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC), 13-7, in a league challenge.
