In Thursday's league match, the host Hertford County Bears basketball team scored a decisive 55-28 triumph over the First Flight Nighthawks.

In their next game, the Bears meet the Weldon Chargers (Weldon, NC) in a non-league match, on Saturday, January 13. Hertford County will attempt to move on its 5-5 season record. The Chargers enter the match with a 5-1 record after their 48-46 league win over Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC).
