Virginia High School Basketball - Wilson Memorial overwhelmed by Staunton
January 12, 2024: Fishersville, VA 22939 The Staunton Storm basketball team scored 83 points and restricted the host Wilson Memorial Green Hornets to 62 in the Storm league victory on Friday.
The Storm now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Defiance for a Shenandoah contest on Tuesday, January 16. Staunton will battle a Indians team coming off a 97-64 league win over Buffalo Gap (Swoope, VA). The Indians record now stands at 6-6.
The Green Hornets (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, VA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 5-8 record. In their last contest, Liberty Christian was routed by Spotswood (Penn Laird, VA), 73-43, in a non-league contest.
