North Carolina High School Basketball - Thomas Jefferson trounces East Gaston

January 12, 2024: Mt. Holly, NC 28120

The Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) basketball crushed the host East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC), 63-9 in Friday's league test.

The Gryphons (8-3) will now prepare for their test against Pinnacle Classical Academy (Shelby, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 9-4 record. In their last test, Pinnacle Classical Academy walloped Lake Lure Classical Academy (Lake Lure, NC), 53-10, in a league test.

The Warriors now own a 1-9 record. They play next when they travel to Shelby for a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont test on Tuesday, January 16. East Gaston will encounter a Golden Lions squad coming off a 48-33 league loss to Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC). The Golden Lions record now stands at 3-9.
