The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Washington Township Senators (Valparaiso, IN) and the host Morgan Township Cherokees (Valparaiso, IN), observed Washington Township's basketball team overcome Morgan Township by a score of 51-38.

The Senators (10-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Hanover Central (Cedar Lake, IN). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 10-6 record. In their last challenge, Hanover Central defeated Hammond Bishop Noll (Hammond, IN), 68-51, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cherokees battle the Tri-Township Tigers (LaCrosse, IN) in a Porter County challenge, on Friday, January 17. Morgan Township will attempt to improve on its 11-6 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 44-38 league loss to Kouts (Kouts, IN).
