Arizona High School Basketball - Goldwater nudges Shadow Mountain

January 14, 2026: Phoenix, AZ 85027

The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Goldwater Bulldogs (Phoenix, AZ) and the visiting Shadow Mountain Matadors (Phoenix, AZ), observed Goldwater's basketball team edge Shadow Mountain by a score of 56-52.

The Bulldogs (7-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Paradise Honors (Surprise, AZ). The Panthers come into the 4A Skyline challenge with a 13-5 record.

In their next game, the Matadors encounter the Moon Valley Rockets (Phoenix, AZ) in a 4A Skyline challenge, on Tuesday, January 20. Shadow Mountain will attempt to improve on its 7-12 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 57-51 league loss to Greenway (Phoenix, AZ).
