Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Crystal River Pirates (Crystal River, FL) and the visiting Citrus Hurricanes (Inverness, FL), saw Crystal River's basketball squad knock off Citrus by a tally of 60-50.

With the victory, Crystal River improves its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Pirates host Lecanto (Lecanto, FL) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 19. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 12-4. Lecanto won 78-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Hernando (Brooksville, FL)
