The Central Bears basketball team scored 79 points and restricted the host Crystal River Pirates to 33 in the Bears league victory on Friday.

The Bears now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate for a non-league contest on Monday, December 11. Central will battle a Phoenix team coming off a 81-39 non-league win over Foundation Christian Academy (Valrico, FL). The Phoenix record now stands at 5-1.

The Pirates (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Hernando (Brooksville, FL). The Leopards come into the 4A District 9 contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Hernando triumphed over Bell (Bell, FL), 62-18, in a non-league contest.
