The Hernando Leopards basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the host Crystal River Pirates to 44 in the Leopards non-league victory on Friday.

The Leopards now sport a 11-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Springstead for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 30.

The Pirates (8-13) will now prepare for their contest against Weeki Wachee (Weeki Wachee, FL). The Hornets come into the 4A District 9 contest with a 7-15 record. In their last contest, Weeki Wachee was defeated by Lecanto (Lecanto, FL), 86-43, in a non-league contest.
