North Carolina High School Basketball - Freedom routs Ashe County

January 17, 2025: Morganton, NC 28655

In Friday's league contest, the host Freedom Patriots basketball team scored a big 85-55 triumph over the Ashe County Huskies.

The Patriots (13-2) will now prepare for their contest against Watauga (Boone, NC). The Pioneers go into the 3A/4A Northwestern contest with a 9-6 record. In their last contest, Watauga was trounced by East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC), 65-58, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Huskies battle the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) in a 3A/4A Northwestern contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Ashe County will attempt to better on its 6-8 season record. The Spartans go into the contest with a 11-5 record after their 61-53 league win over Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC).
